10:45 What Stands in Your Way to Assuming Leadership?

For some the road to leadership is very smooth; for others uncertainty, fear, personal commitments, a difficult coworker, unfocused vision, etc present obstacles. Very effective leaders often look back and reflect on “how they learned from their mistakes.”

Case studies will be used to generate discussion about issues good leaders face and skills they must have (i.e., t ime management, delegation of responsibilities, p erformance review, community outreach, financial management, faculty-administrative relationships). Major emphasis will be placed on using the experiences of the subjects in the case studies to help you identify/address “growth issues” career.
